GRE requirements?

Are you aware that GRE requirements are changing rapidly? Many institutions, including the majority of Tier 1 and Tier 3 US-based graduate programs have decided to no longer consider the GRE for application to their programs (see figure from: https://www.greedge.com/content/gre-waived-us-universities).

Furthermore, many schools are considering doing away with GPA requirements or at least reducing the value that is placed on an applicant’s GPA while considering their graduate school application. Much of this is due to recent reports that both GPA and GRE are not good predictors of graduate school success as well as in the name of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).

The results of such actions have dramatic effects on how applicants are evaluated for admission into highly competitive graduate programs, particularly for foreign students and especially into funded programs. This rapidly changing landscape requires guidance from professionals intimately involved with the process such as those at www.graduateschoolconsulting.com.
